Imperial Doncaster

A study in design, the apartment complex highlights the juxtaposition of luxe and natural materials to create a contemporary and comfortable living space.

The multi-unit development, comprised of 96 luxury dwellings, is set on a sloping site. To the busier roadside, a mini-glass tower defines the street presence with a perimeter balcony skin of glazed units and terracotta baguettes provide visual and acoustic privacy. Below a double height sunken garden leads to the entry lobby with integrated building artwork. The longer northern façade offers privacy and solar protection by aluminium shutters that retract. The penthouses with large planted enjoy panoramic city views.

The interior design response underpins the comfort, style and sophistication of the development, employing a delicate play between tones and textures. A true sense of openness emerges through the clever use of storage and the zoned spaces. Study nooks provide a light-filled, private workspace. Kitchens and dining spaces support entertaining. Living rooms encourage living with large spaces to create an inviting, comfortable space.

Residents have everything they need. The communal gardens and outdoor spaces but without the burden of expensive maintenance.
